Dirk A Schnarr. I was saved on October 19, 1978 and later received the Holy Spirit on May 22, 1979. The Lord called me into the ministry early in my walk, but wanted to train me Himself through many trials. I actually walked in rebellion for about 10-12 years, then God apprehended me in a little town in deep, East Texas called Lufkin.
After another eight years I was allowed to attend one year of Bible school and then was returned to the School of the Holy Spirit while working full time across the country as a nuclear medicine technologist. God brought me back to East Texas where my first wife, (Linda) was discovered to have cancer. It was this challenge that truly made our faith real.
After Linda passed in March of 2012, I admit that I was unfocused for a time until I met my current wife, Sue. Then God began to move things in both of our lives. We knew we were called to Missions but the location of that work was not clear until late in 2014. Through many circumstances all coming into line within one months time, we sold or gave away everything and moved to Zambia, Africa.
Once in Zambia, there was more training and trials. After two months of uncertainty, God once again clarified the starting place of this ministry in Kasama, Zambia. This new journey is just beginning, but The Lord is making it even MORE interesting than all the years that have gone before. It is from all of His teaching and life lessons that Resurrection Life in Christ Ministries was born. We were on the local radio, teaching weekly for a little over a month. Then God sent us to Johannesburg, South Africa for seven months where we connected with several Christian groups. After 13 months in Africa, God sent us to Manchester, UK where we were part of a local assembly and ministering to others as the Lord leads. After five months, there, we were sent back to the USA to take care of family situations. God is good. Soon we will be headed back to Africa, first heading to Malawi to join an American Brother who has a missionary church near Mzuzu.
I thank our Lord Jesus Christ that He has shown me that I am totally inadequate, totally unprepared and untrained professionally for the job at hand, no different than the twelve when Jesus sent them forth. Therefore, it is up to our Lord Himself to organize, teach, train, disciple, preach, and show the way to others to be led by the Holy Spirit in all things. May all who come to this website be blessed, come to know our Lord in a deeper and more meaningful way, and may we all learn to walk, JUST LIKE JESUS!
